'Berlin Alexanderplatz'

PFA plays Rainer Werner Fassbinder's magnum opus Berlin Alexanderplatz in four recently-restored 199-minute segments in a rare screening. Although this Friday's screening finds the series already in its second movement, film buffs are advised to enjoy at least piece of this expansive exploration of Berlin's underworld on film before catching up with the Criterion DVD set.
